Cinnamon Roll French Toast
Take breakfast outside the boundaries of everyday with this over-the-top treat. It’s a sweet indulgence that’s perfect for a sit-down breakfast any day of the week.
as needed All purpose flour
2 ea Fresh ‘N Ready® Freezer to Oven Cinnamon Roll Dough w/Icing (05956)
3 ea Eggs, beaten
1/4 cup Whole milk
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/4 cup JWA Apple Slice Fruit Filling, (02501)
1 oz On Top® Whipped (02559)
Place the cinnamon rolls on a lightly floured work board. Flatten rolls with a rolling pin, using flour as needed to keep pin from sticking. Roll each cinnamon roll to a disc approximately 5 inches across.
Place flattened cinnamon rolls on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in 350° oven for 13–15 minutes.
While the cinnamon rolls are baking, prepare the egg dredge. Combine the beaten eggs, milk, and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
Remove cinnamon rolls from the oven and spread apple filling on the flat side of one roll, then place the other roll on top like a sandwich, with the flat sides facing in.
Gently dip the stuffed roll into the egg mixture to coat both sides.
Cook roll on an oiled griddle for about 2 minutes on each side. Transfer to a plate and garnish with On Top® Whipped Topping.
